A.I. High Resolution Texture Design (Wave Function Collapse #8)
2023-01-15. Lots more input textures that I came up with to test my version of the Wave Function Collapse (WFC) algorithm, outputting to a relatively high resolution of 256x128. You may notice that the same input is used with varying parameter settings -- the size of the patterns that must match a sub-section of the original image: 3x3, 4x4, and sometimes even 5x5. The sidebar shows these parameters, including mirroring in X and/or Y, and if X and Y can be swapped (which allows for rotations). The wrapping parameter allows for generation of textures that wrap around seamlessly, as you can see by the repeated output of the texture. When no wrapping is allowed, the edges are clearly shown -- and this impacts the available patterns, since the edges must match those of the input image.
