5On India Tonight, our focus remains on the airline sector. Three major airlines have reported incidents within just hours of each other. Trouble is on the horizon for SpiceJet. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued a show-cause notice to the airline saying the carrier had poor internal safety review...In the notice, DGCA says SpiceJet failed to establish safe, reliable and efficient air service. This comes after a cargo aircraft operated by the airline was forced to return to Kolkata over a technical snag. Meanwhile, an international Vistara Flight on way from Bangkok landed on a single engine in Delhi. The airline says the issue cropped up due to an electrical malfunction. The DGCA is also investigating a case of smoke being detected in the cabin of an Indigo aircraft. Smoke was detected yesterday evening on the Raipur-Indore IndiGo flight cabin after landing.
