Despite a weak handover, Indian markets ended in the green with Nifty scaling 16000 on an intradar basis. The broader markets too showed strength and gained 1.5%. Most sectoral indices ended in the green with FMCG and auto leading the gains. Bajaj twins took leadership, ended the day 5% higher. Industrials also saw some buying action with ABB Siemens at life highs while defensives like Power Grid and NTPC languished in trade.
