Marico’s margins expected to expand while Dabur & GCPL margins impacted by inflation: Q1 update
2FMCG Companies have come out with their Q1FY23 operational update. In terms of demand Marico and GCPL both highlight the softness in demand in Q1FY23. GCPL also highlighted that rural markets witnessed slower growth compared to urban. Marico India business volumes declined in mid-single digits. Dabur Expected to report high single digit revenue growth; mid-single digit volume growth and GCPL high single digit sales growth is expected. Dabur and GCPL margins are expected to contract due to the increase in RM prices while Marico's operating margin are expected to expand YoY give the Copra price deflation.
