Alice: Madness Returns Part 47: Just Roll with It
0So, as we continue our way through this nightmarish doll town (Not really just one house so I guess this would be a town), we come across one of the final mini games and it has to be the weirdest one that feels out of place so, if this description gets a little weird, you’ll have to forgive me. After using a Jack-in-a-box, a doll head flies out of it and lands inside of a house which transitions into the mini game. The objective of the game is controlling the Doll head through a bizarre obstacle course till we get to the end using the momentum of the head to get up steep slopes, over gaps and to move up walls. Throughout some of the courses, there are also cannons that the head can fall into and then be shot out at a particular angle. For a Hack-n-Slash style game, this is one of the most obscure mini games I think I’ve seen. The only real connection I can see with it and the original source is the Flamingo at the very beginning that hits the Doll head (I think it might be a reference to Alice in Wonderland where she plays croquet with the Queen using Flamingos as their Mallets). As I put within the title, you should just roll with it because if you’ve made it this far into the walkthrough/game, then you’ve already seen enough weird stuff that this probably seems normal. Overall, the controls for the mini game aren’t too bad (they definitely aren’t as bad as the musical mini games) although I found a few of the tracks to be rather difficult for what is worth. Not sure I was really bad at the game or if they were hard but worth mentioning I guess.
