Shadowrun Returns: Dead Man’s Switch Part 35: Office Party 2.0: Even More Guests
So, after accepting the job from the good old Baron, we then head off inside the building and, as you might’ve expected, things don’t go quite according to plan. It seems as though the Company’s security has become a little tighter than the Baron expected which means this entire operation is going to include a lot more shooting than we all expected. I do want to mention one particular thing about this fight because it goes back to something I said in an earlier video description; I wanted certain classes to have more things to do within the world to make them seem more valuable. I didn’t know why I should become a decker if most of my hacking skills wouldn’t be necessary until the story made it, so it was nice to see there were turrets that I could hack into (well, it wasn’t great to see Turrets shooting at me but, you get the idea). That being said, we also did have to hack into the same computer to unlock the elevator and progress so I guess you could say that the turret controls didn’t seem as important. They also made you grab a decker for this particular mission instead of having these small interactions in each level. Either way, it was nice to see the Decker actually do something on the mission other than shoot things although I wished to see more of this sort of thing throughout the game.
