In order for me rant/ramble about this video, I will be mentioning some spoilers so, if you haven’t seen/played this section before and wish not to be spoiled, I advise you to stop reading this. So, after clearing all the smaller creatures on the deck, we’ve finally have access to get to the real source of the poison. After planting the poison into the Food Filter (which the creature is connected to), it turns out that it wasn’t strong enough to kill it which means we have to step in and finish the job. As you might assume from such a statement, this is our very first boss fight (I don’t really consider Humanity’s Child to be a boss fight because we didn’t actually fight, I just froze him and moved on with my life). You might also expect the monster to be quite gruesome and hideous, well you get a prize. We enter a rather large tunnel of sort to find that the creature has created a wall of flesh and intends to use a couple of these massive tentacles to murder our face off. The fight itself is rather straight forward however, You simply have to hit the yellow/orange areas on the creature. It took me some time, mostly because I’m a very bad shot and I ended up using a lot of resources in fighting the creature. The entire fight is also in a Zero-Gravity room which would allow you to jump to other areas of the room to avoid attacks, something that I never seemed to even try (Not sure if I was trying to man-mode this whole fight and take ever hit to the face in order to show the monster who’s the boss around here or whether I didn’t realize where to jump; Let’s go with the prior instead of the latter, shall we). There are several explosives that I could’ve picked up with our Kinesis to throw at him but, since I’m a fairly poor shot, I don’t think I would’ve had better luck with them.
