Yes indeed, it's a game based on the "Alien" movie franchise, and features the tough-as-nails heroine, Ellen Ripley, aka Sigourney Weaver. One might think the game flat at sucks given the history of these kinds of games, but you may be pleasantly surprised. The game actually looks very nice, with fluid animations and vibrant colors. A lot of the presentation reminds me of the Turrican games. From the whole stats display to the energy to some of the special effects, it screams Turrican. Of course, I'm not complaining, since Turrican is awesome.

Alien 3 has been made for many different platforms, though the Genesis game is perhaps one of the better adaptations out there. The object of the game is simple: Save humans and kill aliens. Save as many people as you can before time runs out and you win. Don't and, well, it should be obvious what happens next. Be careful, since the aliens are fast and sometimes cunning. You get a ridiculous amount of points if you clear a level without getting touched O_o
