After using the Power Bombs to reveal a new path to the surface, I user the elevator which leads me to the landing site of the GFS Thoth. I fill out the map there and get the final two Power Bomb Tanks in the game. One of the tanks are in a room that will be very familiar to those who have played Fusion. I go inside the ship to find the final Energy Tank in the game, then face the secret boss, Genesis. It is a pretty easy boss fight, especially since you have Power Bombs and Super Missiles.

Afterward, I go back into SR388 and finally head back to the main route, collecting the final Missile Tanks along the way. I take out an Alpha Metroid in the next area, but then reload the room (after seeing the path back is blocked by a seismic event), and head up to see the Rescue Team get decimated by an Omega Metroid. This next stage in evolution for Metroids takes a total of 40 Missiles to take down. It does seem to have more openings, but if it ever corners you, you’ll have to expect a lot of damage.

After taking it out, I go ever further into the caves, eventually making it into the Omega Nest and saving there.
