AMD's Zen 3 architecture is scheduled to launch this year, but there are some very odd rumors floating about that AMD may opt to delay the Zen 3 launch for desktop (Ryzen 4000) until next year. These rumors state that Ryzen 3000 is selling very well, so the Matisse refresh will be launched in July 7th and then AMD may choose to hold off launching Ryzen 4000 until Q1 2021.

Meanwhile, Intel are apparently readying Cypress cove, which is based on a tiger lake architecture, albeit tweaked to work on the 14nm process. This will likely feature slightly slower IPC compared to Intel's 10nm tiger lake, but will still be very competitive. Cypress Cove (AKA Rocket Lake) is said to only be 8 cpu cores, but can can over 4.7 GHZ and hits way over a 20 percent IPC gain over the Skylake architecture.

Sony's Playstation 5 will have a radically different GUI for its OS, and apparently its designed to be customized much more than what we saw with the PS3.
