Amstrad CPC 464: Part 1 (Intro & comparisons)

7Time to get my Amstrad CPC464s sorted.
If we ignore the Schneiders, the CPC472 and the Eastern Bloc clones then it seems there were three main models:
[1] The original long board with full-height keycaps that came out in 1984
[2] The short board with shallower keycaps that came out in 1988 (based on datecodes)
[3] The 464 Plus that came out in 1990
Our first computer was the original iteration with green screen.
For these videos I'll be working on the 2nd iteration of the 464.
My plans are:
[1] Strip & clean the case, keyboard and motherboard
[2] Refurbish the Datasette
[3] Replace the original 464 firmware/BASIC ROM
