The best part about this title is that it's not referring to what you think it is. Feel free to guess what I'm referring to in the comments below. ^_^
This session went way smoother compared to last time, though granted, the fact that I was able to recover so easily last time is entirely why. The interesting thing about this game when compared to many of its contemporaries within the point-and-click adventure genre is that despite the cartoonish setting, there's actually discernible logic behind all of the puzzles. Let me reiterate that: a goofball cartoon game that's a clear homage to Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of the most sensical examples of a 1990s point-and-click adventure game in existence. That's... like a different type of insanity, all things considered.
I managed to finish up Act 1 this time, though admittedly, I was closer to being finished than I expected. Truth be told, I realized the solution for "stripes" wasn't "spots", but rather "stars" literally a half-hour before I started streaming. I'm not sure why it clicked at that exact moment, maybe it's because we're steadily approaching July. I have to wonder if any foreign gamers came to the conclusion I did, though... given just how American-centric the solution was.
I was somewhat disenheartened to discover that Toonstruck is essentially only half a game... but it's good to know that the remaining content has already been created. It's just yet to be compiled into something playable. Apparently, the game's director has all of the assets he needs though... and was both considering making the sequel itself and perhaps even an HD remaster of the original game. It turns out that there are a few legal hiccups keeping it from happening, but hopefully, a Toonstruck 2 comes to fruition someday. Just don't expect me to stream it.
I also got started with the game's second (and final) act. All I can really say is that the title screen (and boxart) for the game finally make sense to me. Though admittedly, I feel like it's a weird choice, unless Spike ends up returning later on in the story. I do hope to wrap up the game next time, if only because it would free up my schedule a bit and allow me to get to work on the longest bonus game I've got left in the docket. But don't get me wrong, I'm having an absolute blast with Toonstruck regardless.
