Back the Log Off! - Episode 21: Sweet and Dour

Wow, I actually managed to get through way more segments this time around than I was expecting. Granted, most of these segments were also significantly shorter than what I'd played in the game thus far. It also seems that maybe the walkthrough I was originally using to determine how many segments this game had may have been inaccurate... at least with regards to the third case in the game. I did manage to find another one that seems like it gives a better impression of what to expect moving forward. And it looks like the third case has the most segments in AAI2 by far.
A whole bunch of accents cropped up for this session. I mean, I'm sure the title gave that away, but I seem to have trouble with certain accents over others. It's weird that I've not able to do a German accent that well, simply because that was the language I took through all four years of high school... and I actually did pretty well in the class. As for the British one, I have no idea why I kept slipping into an Australian accent for that one. On the plus side, I think I did pretty well when it came to the French one. But man, it was already hard enough keeping everyone's voice straight before I had to start stacking accents on top of everything.
I'm still in awe of how many characters from previous Ace Attorney games have shown up in this one. Even if some of them just end up being quick cameos, it's fun to see these old characters resurface in new contexts. Honestly, that was one of the things I loved the most about The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. It reused characters but found brand-new things for each of them to do. Granted, I'm wondering if the shift from 2D sprites to 3D models necessitated that... but since I've yet to play AA5 or 6 -- and likely won't unless we get another compilation -- I don't know if recycling characters was unique to the GAA games or if all of the 3D Ace Attorney games had to do something like that.
This was definitely the shortest Back the Log Off session I've done since starting Ace Attorney Investigations 2, which was kind of surprising. I definitely want to try to wrap up the third episode next time. Fortunately, I'm done livestreaming for the week -- since I finished up my most recent game and don't intend on starting the next one until Sunday -- so my next BtLO recording has the potential to be an extra long one. I'm hoping to wrap up the game entirely by about mid-July at this rate... which should make the rest of this year's schedule a little more flexible. The problem is definitely going to be finding a way to squeeze what are essentially four recordings into a single week, which is especially hard since my new job finally started up.
