Apex Legends Is Fast, Fluid & One Of The Best Battle Royale Games | My Fav Thing In (Apex Gameplay)
There are a lot of reasons why people are still playing Apex Legends, years after it first launched: great maps like Kings Canyon, a community that is forever growing, and a roster of heroes that are as varied as they are colourful. As you can hear in the conversation, during this Apex gameplay, those characters and their wonderful movement abilities is what RPS' biggest Apex Legends fan, Imogen Beckhelling, loves most about the game. So, Colm asked her to chat to him about it for the purposes of this video. Lovely stuff.

Apex is undoubtedly one of the best battle royale games out there, and one of the main reasons is the glorious, fluid movement. From Apex Loba and her teleportation bracelet to Apex Octane and his bouncy jump pad, Apex is full of glorious abilities that allow you to get the most of every Apex Legends map. You'll see what Imogen's talking about in this Apex Legend gameplay.
Apex Kings Canyon is Imogen's favourite because the verticality provides marvellous opportunities on the battlefield. It allows characters like Wraith and Revenant to grapple to and fro, like Pathfinder. Of course, Apex Pathfinder is still the most accomplished when it comes to wrangling a grappling hook.
To be honest, you'll actually get some good tips for Apex Legends in this video, too, but especially Apex Legends movement tips. As Octane, I wasn't marrying the stim with the jump pads nearly enough before chatting with Imogen.
While this is a sort of Apex Legend review for what the game is like now, you can have a read of our written Apex Legends review on Rock Paper Shotgun: The Website (https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/apex-legends-review). Of course, it is from launch, so some things have changed, but our opinion on the game hasn't wavered. Apex Legends is still a cracker that you should be playing if you're not already. Also, be sure to visit the dedicated Apex Legends hub on RPS, too, where you'll get to read loads of wonderful Apex news, features and articles (https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/apex-legends).
My Favourite Thing In... is a video series where Colm chats to one of the lovely RPS writers about their absolute favourite thing in a spang new video game they’ve been playing. In some cases, the writer will have to think long and hard about their choice, because the game they’ve been playing mightn’t be that great, while better games will have multiple things for them to pick.
