Thank god for the update of the old game, because we didn’t have tons to discuss for Headlines & Hot Takes on this episode of The Weekspot. However, the announcement of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles did get Matthew all excited, so we chatted about that for a bit. And rumours have been floating around about a Metal Gear Solid remake, so we discuss whether we think it might actually happen. And Colm got to talk to Matthew about his new drum kit in Tech Corner, so it’s not like we didn’t have things to talk about.
But, yes, this is a Show and Tell-heavy episode of The Weekspot, with Nier Replicant ver.1.22etc taking centre stage. While Matthew isn't quite as hot on it as some others are, as you'll hear in our Nier Replicant review, he still recognises that this is the definitive edition of a pretty decent video game. You can see that for yourself in our Nier Replicant gameplay. The boy of the Castles also continues to be a bit unsure about Resi 8 after giving the latest Resident Evil Village demo a go. Meanwhile, Colm jumped into the Resident Evil RE Verse beta and had an adequate time. He had much more fun with the sweet and funny Turnip Boy Commits Tax Exasion, as you can hear in his Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion review. You can also see the loveliness for yourself in our Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion gameplay. And Before Your Eyes is the best narrative-driven, blinky game Colm's ever played. You'll hear that in his Before Your Eyes review.
This week's Mystery Steam Reviews is all about games that are based on mythology. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on emergency foods and burning people.
