While we have plenty of information snacks for you to get down your news gobs, the main story we discuss in Headlines & Hot Takes revolves around Ubisoft’s recent declaration that they’re planning on making moves in the free-to-play market. We also discuss the price of the Vive Pro 2 and whether we’ve spent upwards of £1300 on anything in our lives.
A Show and Tell-heavy Weekspot this week, as Colm has dipped his toes into the familiar space water of Mass Effect. Well, not totally familiar, as he didn’t play the original ME way back when, so he’s been seeing how the updated version plays in Mass Effect Legendary Edition PC. On top of his early Mass Effect Legendary Edition impressions, you’ll get to see some lovely Mass Effect gameplay. Matthew’s also been having a look at a remaster this past week: Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne HD Remaster. As you’ll hear from him, SMT 3 Nocturne Remaster might be an interesting thing for Persona fans to play, but it’s a bit lacking as a PC port. Still, you can check out some Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne Remaster gameplay and see for yourself. But, that’s not all! Matthew’s also gone back to Assassins Creed Valhalla to check out the recently released Wrath Of The Druids DLC. You’ll get to see what supernatural viking-era Ireland looks like in his Valhalla gameplay. Colm’s also played a few other games. The Invisible Hand is an oddly compelling stocks game that you can have a look at in our The Invisible Hand gameplay, and you’ll get to see what jumping over razorblades to find socks looks like in our Sockventure gameplay.
This week's Mystery Steam Reviews is all about single player games that have multiple playable characters. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on our favourite developers and games we finished before they finished.
