Resident Evil Village is More Action Than Horror | Resident Evil Village Review
Resident Evil Village is very much a game of two halves: the first half of the game hangs its hat on tension and scares, while the second half is a power fantasy full of pipe bombs and grenade launchers. Watch this Resident Evil Village gameplay and you can see that for yourself. Now, as you’ll find out from this Resident Evil Village review, opinions can differ on whether or not this shift is good or bad.

It all depends on what you prefer, really: if you’re keen to get to grips with all of Resident Evil Village weapons, then you’ll enjoy the second half of the game where you’re blowing the heads off werewolves in the factory of Resident Evil Village Heisenberg. But, if you’re more keen to see the survival horror side of Resident Evil 8, then you’ll prefer Resident Evil Village Lady Dimitrescu and her castle, as well as the phenomenal doll house of Angie and Donna Beneviento.
This Resident Evil Village review – and the accompanying Resident Evil Village gameplay – will show you everything contentious about the game, plus the things both Colm and Matthew like. For example – when it comes to things both liked – the game should probably be called Resident Evil The Village just to give more respect to the central hub that you keep coming back to. Travelling back to the main area after offing a big bad like Lady Dimitrescu and seeing how the village has changed is great. Resident Evil Village castle area is probably the closest the linear sections get to the village.
Another thing these lads agree on is the lack of scares. Apart from the Angie and Donna section, Resident Evil Village just isn’t that frightening. In fact, it’s quite funny. While Matthew thinks its campy and Colm believes it veers into shoddiness, both are in agreement that its story is stupid enough that it’s a relatively good time.
