Bridge Constructor Medieval is the successor to the number 1 game Bridge Constructor from the German publisher Headup Games. Part 1 was a great success for Headup Games and has been downloaded millions of times. With Bridge Constructor Medieval the developers re-invent the game concept of part 1, you travel back in time for centuries. Bridge Constructor Medieval is available for iOS for the introductory price of € 1.79. For €1,89 you can download the game for Android.

In Bridge Constructor Medieval you take the role of a bridge constructor. Your kingdom has been attacked by enemies, the country is devastated. New attacks are imminent, but the king wants to strike back. Too bad that many supply lines and bridges are destroyed. And that's where your are put into play. As a bridge builder you get the task to rebuild the destroyed bridges in the kingdom. You are responsible that food, weapons and ressources reach the desired locations. Bridge Constructor Medieval features 40 brand new levels and plays almost identical to its predecessor. With limited building materials such as wood, stones and ropes you have to try to rebuild the bridge of each level. You work in an editor and choose the components out of a sidebar and drag them onto the landscape. Your task: Build a brige as stable as possible.

With double tapps and a back-button can revoke unsuitable moves at any time. When you are satisfied with your design you press the play button and the soldiers, horses and waggons roll over the bridge. If you made your job good, they reach the other side, otherwise you need to go back to the editor. Compared to its predecessor, the developers included some new things. So there are enemies which attack your bridge with stones. Your bridge construction should be designed to withstand this extra load. You can also build a roof to protect your soldiers. Another new feature is that you have to build a bridge that holds your own troops but that collapses as soon as the enemies step onto the bridge. With the help of coins you can display hints and you can buy new coins with InApp-purchases.

My App-verdict:
Bridge Constructor Medival is not an easy game. Although you can master the game without InApp purchases some levels are quite difficult, furthermore the controls are fiddly as in the predecessor every now and then. Nevertheless Bridge Constructor Medival is similar addictive as its predecessor. The intelligent concept has evolved here and there with new features and the game offers great attention to detail. Fans of the predecessor can download the game without a risk. -
