ArcoLinux (previously known as ArchMerge) is a distribution based on Arch Linux. The development takes places in three branches - ArcoLinux, ArcoLinuxD and ArcoLinuxB. ArcoLinux is a full-featured distribution that ships with the Xfce desktop (as well as Openbox and i3 window managers). ArcoLinuxD is a minimal distribution that includes scripts that enable power users to install any desktop and application. ArcoLinuxB is a project that gives users the power to build custom distributions, while also developing several community editions with pre-configured desktops, such as Awesome, bspwm, Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, GNOME, MATE and KDE Plasma. ArcoLinux also provides various video tutorials as it places strong focus on learning and acquiring Linux skills.

Once called the archmerg Arch Linux -based GNU / Linux distribution which arcolinux 's 21.09.8 released. It was reminded that Openbox or i3wm can be selected in Calamares if desired, but Openbox or i3wm has been removed by default. ArcoLinuxL is available as the flagship version and is said to be the most extensive version to include many software. ArcoLinuxS, on the other hand, is offered as a very small version and yet it is reported that it continues to choose the Xfce4 desktop environment in different versions.While it is emphasized that SDDM will now come as the standard image manager, it is said that the sddm-config-editor-git application has been added to all ISOs, except for the KDE Plasma ISO. The new version, which is said to have fixed various problems and included some general improvements , offers many desktop environments such as Cinnamon, Gnome, KDE Plasma, Mate, Openbox as full and minimal versions as always .
