Pikmin have an iconic look. Ever since the original trio of Red, Blue, and Yellow Pikmin, we’ve watched the little goobers grow up, sporting a bright flower on their head once they reach maturity. But have you ever wondered what kind of flower they’re wearing?

It’s real, and it has a few different names: Chaenostoma Cordatum, Ornamental Bacopa, or Sutera Cordata. Native to South Africa, it blooms with white, magenta, and lavender petals. Nintendo even created their own breed of the “Pikmin Flower” and dubbed it the Bacopa Cabana.

There have been several Pikmin games in the series, but as of the time of this short, Pikmin 4 is the newest one on the list. You can pick that up on Nintendo Switch.
