The Original Baldur’s Gate 3
Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 is a smash hit, but it’s not the first time that name has floated around the internet. Since the early 2000s, there have been other plans to make a Baldur’s Gate 3, although none came to fruition.
This short gives a quick history lesson on the topic, starting with the famed Black Isle Studios, who developed the original Baldur’s Gate games. Its version of the third title was originally called The Black Hound. Eventually, Divinity: Original Sin II proved that Larian was the team for the job.
If you want to play Baldur’s Gate 3 yourself, you have a few options. PC is the most common choice, but the Dungeons & Dragons-based RPG also has a PlayStation 5 version in the works.
