I take a look at taming the new (as of patch 187) Dimorphodon in Ark: Survival Evolved for PC.

Technique 1: Use Tranq arrows with a crossbow to knock it unconscious. The lower level Dimorphodon have very low health so you need to wait between arrows to ensure you don't kill it. This one only took 1 arrow to knock out...
Technique 2: Use a bow with Tranq arrows instead... :D

Tame time is roughly 5 - 10 minutes or so, depending on the meat you use and the creature level (Prime or Cooked Prime makes it faster). Use Narcotics to keep torpor levels high, you will need probably 30 - 40 Narcotics to do it.

Warning - keep close to your dimorphodon while taming it, most things will try to eat it and the low numbers on base torpor make it risky to leave for too long!
