I take a look at taming the Argentavis in Ark: Survival Evolved for PC.

Technique 1: Use Tranq arrows to knock it unconscious. The lower level Argentavis have very low health so you need to wait between arrows to ensure you don't kill it. This one only took 2 to knock out.
Technique 2: Use your fists to knock it out, we've not yet tried this way :)

Tame time is roughly 1 - 1.5 hours or so, depending on the meat you use and the creature level (Prime or Cooked Prime makes it faster). Use Narcotics to keep torpor levels high, you will need probably 30 - 40 Narcotics to do it.
