I take a look at taming the Stegosaurus (Stego) in Ark: Survival Evolved for PC.

Technique 1: Use 5 - 10 Tranq Arrows, clean and effective depending on the level of the creature.
Technique 2: Use Slingshot (you can use this way should you not be advanced enough for Tranq Arrows). Prepare for at least 22 - 35 stones that will be needed to knock it out :)

After knocking your Stego unconscious, feed it some Narco Berries or Narcotics to keep Torpor levels high and various berries into it's inventory to keep it eating and taming. It prefers the purple Mejoberry.

Tame time is roughly 1.5 - 2 hours or so, depending on the berries you use, how you knocked it out and the level of the creature.
