I take a look at taming the Megalodon (Shark) in Ark: Survival Evolved for PC.

Technique 1: Use Tranq arrows to knock it unconscious. I tend to lure the shark in using myself or a pet/mount to get the Shark in shallow. You will get a bit of water penetration with the arrows, but you have to shoot when fully out of the water.
Technique 2: Use your fists to knock it out, this is hard.

Tame time is roughly 1 hour or so, depending on the meat you use and the creature level (Prime or Cooked Prime makes it faster). Use Narcotics to keep torpor levels high.
