I take a look at taming the Ichthyosaurus (Ichthy or "Dolphin" the slang) in Ark: Survival Evolved for PC.

Technique 1: The Ichthyosaurus is naturally attracted to humans so you don't need to knock it out. You start taming it by equipping some meat or cooked meat into slot "0" or the far right quick slot. This then allows you to progressively feed your Ichthy until it is tamed.

Your only enemy here is the water, by either drowning, running out of stamina or being attacked by Piranha or Megalodons. Make sure you have a stack of say 30 meat to keep your Ichthy entertained.

Tame time is roughly 30 minutes or so, depending on the meat you use (Prime or Cooked Prime makes it faster).
