Armored Core: Master Of Arena (PS1) Challenge Run - Part 4 - Ex Arena/Reverse Joint Legs (No Human+)
1Challenge Run of Armored Core: Master Of Arena Fresh save/No Human Plus part 4. Continuing on with the initially available Arenas from disc 2 from the start, now i will be doing the Reverse Joint Legs Restricted Arena which is the last one of the Arenas available on Disc 2 at the very start. Even without Human Plus Upgrades and the Free AC build transfer, its still possible for me to employ a similar strategy that i used in my first run which is abusing Multiple - Missile Launchers. With the superb jumping capabilities of the Reverse Joint Legs, the lower Energy Output available when compared to the last Human Plus upgrade isnt that big of a deal compared to the Humanoid Legs strategy but since Reverse Joints cant carry near as much weight, its still very much possible to build my Aerial Multi-Missile AC but the other parts must be carefully adjusted and optimized for weight vs defense so the Head, Core ,Arms, Arm weapons, generator and even the booster had to be carefully optimized. Now typically for the parts that have low weight they are pretty much guaranteed to have lower shell defense compared to the heavier ones but Energy Defense is another story. Since Reverse Joint Legs all have pretty good Shell Defenses for their speed, it synergizes pretty well with the low weight high Energy defense parts. Normally using Lightweight Cores will tank your AP by a significant amount but since Reverse Joint Legs also have high AP values on par with the Heaviest Legs, it also ends up synergizing even better in that aspect so my AP is still pretty close to the 9000 mark (just below it in fact) which is a great amount to have. Since most of the opponents in the Reverse Joint arena also employ Multi-Missile strategies as well, being lighter will help with the dodging better. One other thing to keep in mind in this arena as well is how good the Anti-Missile system of the Core is as while normally the Heavy Weight core has a extremely specific angle in which the system activates, the Lightweight Core from AC1 has an amazing response with the Laser stretching very far. This helps me to defend against the Atomic Missile as without a save transfer i cant just stack Shell Defense against it so i have to be more creative in my counter.
