Armored Core: Master Of Arena (PS1) Challenge Run - Part 7 - Ex Arena - Champion (No Human+)
Challenge Run of Armored Core: Master Of Arena Fresh save/No Human Plus part 7. Oh boy... Now with the entire Disc 1 done, its time to go back to Disc 2 Arenas and this time i will be doing the Champion Arena. This Arena is where it will showcase just how uttely disadvantaged you are without Human Plus when pretty much all the opponents have then while also equipped with near optimum/sweaty/tryhard setups. With that in mind its obvious that if i play fair AKA on any map that isnt the Parking Lot Map, i will basically be giving chances for the CPU to destroy me for free with its Fly on top of you with perfect aimbot aim while you cant do a damn thing in return. Of course the goal here since i am already playing fair AKA no Human Plus is to make sure the CPU cannot play its cheating game at all but thats not enough as well. To win against then i basically have to use every scummy/exploit possible and hard counter the opponent to stand a chance. Now without free AC building its not always possible to perfectly hard counter the opponent's setup by stacking a specific defense but what i can do is counter their playstyle. Since most opponents in this Arena uses a tryhard setup with a Light AC, a Rifle and goes for Aerial Blade Strategies, i have to use a sort of a exploit so that their Aerial Slash attempts will miss completely 99% of the time. This is done by me using either Caterpillar or Four Legs as these Leg types makes you smaller in height then Humanoid Leg ACs. Because i am smaller than them, the Aerial Slash auto-correction/aiming will pretty much always miss by a few pixels everytime and the beauty of it is that it doesnt require precise movement on my end as well. The height difference will also make the Blade Beam on most Humanoid Legs completely go over my head so everytime they try to do it its just wasted time for then while i can do some damage. My setup will also change to the previous one that i was using with the Humanoid Legs as well. For the Four Legs/Caterpillar setup i will always be using the Energy Machine Gun with 2 Chain Guns in the shoulders. Depending on the opponents AC build the Chain Guns will deal way more damage then the Energy Machine Gun will so i can exploit their weakest defense too. The Chain Guns are also there so that i can switch when i am running low on Energy as using the Energy Machine Gun with either Four Legs or Caterpillar is abit tough as since those 2 Leg Types are the ones that requires alot of Energy on your Generator do to their much higher energy drain, this results in a slower Energy Recharge so i cannot keep firing with the Energy Machine Gun for as long as the other Legs. Thats where the Chain Guns comes into play as well. In these Old School Armored Core games, Machine Gun style weapons pretty much always dominated in many ways be it DPS, ammo capacity and so on. Its funny how Fromsoft nerfed the Finger to oblivion but then comes Master Of Arena and they just create another monster altogether XD!! The Chain Guns were always there and they were always strong as well so... go figure *-*
