Okay, so after a slightly more thorough search of the game links, I found out that the game is entirely browser-based. I guess this makes sense, what with the resizing windows, so excuse my in-recording self for his ignorance.

Hard to believe this took half an hour! I swear, so many of these games that force your noggin to stay attentive, even when turn-based, make the time go by far too quickly. So I hope you guys don't mind if I try to get in a second video! Might try to cut out things in that one so we don't see too much repetition.

Since this video takes place in a single run, I can only assume that the game randomly generates everything each time, as well as during the game (for creatures and possibly spontaneous vegetation). That said, I'm really loving the concept! We could stand to see a few more resource-gathering, open-world roguelikes. The biggest question is whether or not there's an overarching goal in mind, a reason to set sail and search for your past life. Wayward's still in early development, so if that idea hasn't been realized then I sure hope it is someday.
