ARRP 2012 - Steam Marines
Naturally, the quality between what is found in the 7DRL competition and this "release party" can be very different, since the former only allows for 168 hours, while the latter is as long as you want. Even so, the current stylization of THIS game easily surpassed my expectations. Squad-based roguelike is an incredible idea and I'm surprised I haven't seen more of them (JaggedRL and The Adventurers' Guild from 7DRL off the top of my head), but the way it's handled here is very nice.
In fact, if there's one thing to criticize the game for, it's that the randomized layout often makes it difficult to effectively utilize your troops. Plenty of single-tile hallways and small rooms leave little to do but setup your support and heavy, moving around the scout and leader as necessary. But I mean, it's in the alpha stages, so some tweaks here and there will change that up to work out.
Good stuff, highly recommended.
