I finally beat ET Phone Home on the hardest difficulty! It only took me around five or six tries! Note that some of the flickering objects did not show up very clearly on the video capture because of differences in framerate.

If you want to hear me explain how to play the game, watch my other ET Phone Home video: https://youtu.be/pihmAd8bT3E

Here are some strategies I used:

1) Accessing the screen that tells you what items you need costs precious energy. Instead, I used my phone to take a photo of what ET needed and kept it nearby for reference. That's why I never pick up the wrong colored items.

2) You can only search for objects while walking. If you are covering ground you've already searched, you should be running. ET's energy is draining either way, so make the best use of your time!

3) The tone lets you know when you are near an object. If you don't hear a tone, it's safe to run for a bit, but remember to stop occasionally to listen.

4) Search systematically, making sure you don't search the same area more than once.

5) Sometimes the most direct path back to the house is not the safest one. Always keep near paths with alleyways you can duck down in case you are being chased.

6) Sometimes when the enemies come to take your items, you can push your body into a nearby building and prevent them from doing so. It doesn't always work but when it does, it's a lifesaver!

7) Once you are ET, you need to RUN, RUN, RUN! Your energy drains super fast at the end of the game, so take the shortest path possible to the landing zone.

All in all, it's a pretty fun challenge to complete it on the hardest difficulty.
