There's no doubt plenty of videos about Star Raiders (CX2660) for the Atari 2600 VCS already, so I'm taking a different approach ... creating a custom controller (okay, there's probably at least one about this as well ...)

This first part is just designing the new controller - the Atari Video Touch Pad (CX21) makes 12 buttons available, but only five are used in Star Raiders.

I thought it might be interesting to make a custom controller with all five buttons in a row to simplify gameplay. Also, it might be useful for those who want to play Star Raiders via a downloaded ROM and don't have the original Video Touch Pad.
