He who laughs last will kill last. Ah Avatar... I remember well when this 2009 film by James Cameron was released, it still blows my mind of the scale and the size of the film and the story it tells. I know of a previous Avatar game, but seeing this 2023 FPS adventure game, I had to see what it was like. It is another one I pre-ordered. Released by Ubisoft on December 7th 2023.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora begins 8 years prior to the 2009 film Avatar's plot: 5 Na'vi orphans have been taken by the RDA to learn to be human represenatives. 8 years later from cyrosleep, one of those orphans a unnamed young na'vi woman we take control of in our quest to not just escape but resist and defeat the RDA.

A first person game, Avatar frontiers of pandora's visuals are just gorgeous. The game wears its most obvious influence, Far cry on its sleeves while also being a blend of action, stealth and defense. The parkour system feels solid vs other games I've played with such, motion blur isn't that bad, Right stick is our melee attack and the weapon play is solid with our lineup being a Bow, machine gun and other weapons.

It is a bit irritating that Avatar by default is 30FPS, I suppose its meant to be that way, Difficulty is so so, neither hard nor easy though you'll need to often use na'vi vision to locate objects you can't really see on your own. I wouldnt' say its perfect, but theres something about this FPS that follows Avatar that made me smile.
