0Once more, shall oblivion take you. Its almost like seeing the past, when I first saw the news break about a Oblivion remaster in those leaks. And yet, the actual reveal and release of this remaster? On April 22nd 2025, I knew I had to get a episode on it, and thus, this is one of 2 recently released games that will be getting episodes.
The Elder Scrolls Online IV Oblivion was originally released in March 2006 for Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC. Taking place 6 years after Morrowind, Oblivion tells the story of our character, in jail meeting Emperor Uriel Septim VII and his guards, his death predicted through conversation is the beginning of our journey, to seal the gates, of oblivion and defeat the prince, known as Mehrunes Dagon.
Oblivion's an open world RPG where you make a character while selecting from a race such as Dark Elf, Khajiit, Argonian, Nord etc. Our classes change how you handle attack speed, movement, damage, special abilities and more. Like other ES games, You take quests and engage in combat, Though, first, Lets go over the big thing: Unreal tech engine 5 is powering this remaster.
From the first trailer, It was clear that this game's visuals? They are the selling point, Between the ps3 and the pc original release and now? It looks gorgeous, the blur, the colors, the movement and the details? Its incredible. Being a remaster of what was, still a campy classic janky game does have its moments where the AI seems to be a bit jerky? Some quests did bug out on me, but Honestly, seeing this remaster? It takes me back to the mid 2000's and a time that is fresh again.
