7This is a long video but then, there is a lot to cover in this fantastic train pack and possibly one of the Bachmann's finest model trains to ever be made from them. This is a full in-depth review and test run of the Bachmann Class 251 Midland Pullman DEMU Train Pack of which my version is the one with the yellow warning fronts as I missed out on the original one. But having said that, this has just got to be one of the best model trains that I have ever reviewed up to yet and nothing else comes even close to the sheer amount of features and detail that this model boasts. Well where should I start? First of all, I will start with the gubbins (electrical side of things) as this model has not one BUT TWO powered locomotives of which combined. They deliver more than enough power for the whole train, then you have all the lighting as this model has working cab, directional and interior lighting with fully illuminated table lamps to boot! The pack is DCC fitted hence that both powered units use a DCC 21-pin decoder that is already installed, so you don't have to do a thing if you have a DCC layout. The train pack is well packed and protected in its large box as all the units in the set in packed individually in card draws than packed into a durable cardboard sleeve. Performance is very smooth during the test run and when the model is running on the track, that is where this model truly shows its glory in full and to be honest. I just cannot fault this model in any way even if I tried as it just ticks all of the right boxes. A true replica model here and this video just doesn't do this model the justice that it purely deserves.
