I'm two sessions into another three-session week, and I'm exactly where I want to be. Spoiler alert: I managed to wrap up Chapter 5 this time, meaning that I've totally hit my revised goal for August... with two recordings to spare. Assuming I could somehow make it past Chapter 6 in those two remaining streams feels too arrogant even for your humble host, but I definitely want to put a huge dent in it over my last two remaining sessions for August.

I guess I just haven't been as talkative as I normally have been on the most recent recordings. I want to blame all of that on being more engrossed in the story, but I guess I've been a little stressed out lately too... so putting on the extra effort to come up with banter for an audience that feels... even more imaginary than it usually does on my livestreams, just hasn't been a priority to me. I'll try to rectify that, but I'm definitely going to have to think up some more topics to help facilitate that kind of rambling. I guess part of the problem is that I'm trying to hold off on talking about the "future" of the Trails series until I hit The 3rd. And frankly, there's just not much more I know about the previous Legend of Heroes games that I didn't cover during my playthrough of FC.

Still, I was relieved to find out that I didn't miss any sidequests on the Guild Board when the game *finally* gave me control again. I was seriously worrying about that since right after I ended the last session. I'm pretty sure I would've ended up reloading an earlier save if that had happened, but I'm glad that I didn't have to resort to that in the end. I just enjoy these sidequests way too much to let any of the ones the game is willing to point out to me to slip by. A shame that I'm probably missing a bunch of hidden ones though, but it is what it is. I'm trying to avoid resorting to any 100% walkthroughs, simply using Wiki articles when I get stuck on the quests I do find.

And how about that boss battle with Ragnard? After the final boss fight in FC, I was hoping for more spectacle in the second game, and even if it did take until Chapter 5 again, SC definitely delivered on it. The more modern games may have more conventionally impressive graphics, but I just love what Falcom was able to depict using 2D spritework alongside rudimentary 3D models. There's just something about that I find much more endearing than simply using 3D renders for everything. But I'm just some internet weirdo, there's no point in paying attention to me.

Chapter 6 started out pretty impressively, and I'm looking forward to it for a couple of reasons. For starters, I think this is going to be the chapter where Estelle and Joshua finally reunite, just based on the events that have already happened so far. I'm also assuming that this when I'll *finally* be able to hear a song that I've been longing to hear in SC, since I first encountered its melody on one of the various arrange albums for the series. Granted, I'm mainly basing this on the song's title, but when it finally comes up, I'll be sure to point it out. Blatantly. Likely spending at least five minutes rocking out to it when it shows up, in fact. Hope you're looking forward to that!
