I'm not gonna lie, before this stream, I was having a pretty lousy day all around. I was so stressed out, I almost considered just taking the night off, just because I was worried I wouldn't be in the proper state of mind to actually be entertaining while streaming. But in the end, I'm glad I managed to push through those early doubts... because I just earned myself another three BtLO session week, baybee! Tomba! is done and dusted and I had a blast with the game's final stream.

I didn't originally intend to do so many sidequests in this final stream, but the rewards were just too good to pass up in many cases. I mean, finding seaweed to obtain a dog that lets me teleport to any area I visited previously at will? Playing a game of hide-and-seek with said infinite teleportation to double my possible maximum health? A green jewel that basically gives me a limited double-jump? A fish that gives me all of the pants abilities? A weapon that lets me grapple AND attack? Definitely all worth the modicum of effort they took to gather.

I guess I should've been disappointed with the final boss fight, but considering the fact that all the other ones followed the same format... it only makes sense that the big boss would go down the same way. I don't know why, I almost expected it to be slightly more epic: like, maybe you'd have to throw him into the bag multiple times... or even just multiple bags? But you know what? It was still fine. Not exactly climactic, but none of the boss fights really were. I don't think that was the point.

Having said that, I definitely want to try to stream the sequel next year after playing the original. Despite being told some negative things about the games before starting, I definitely enjoyed my time with Tomba!, about as much as my original experience with the game via a demo disc seemed to imply. I just hope I get the chance.
