0So this battle is hard. Really hard.
Arc’Letec has a few tricks up his sleeve. The worst of which is the Death status he inflicts on your characters. This will not only inflict hold on them, which in itself is a death sentence, but will also kill them if enough time passes.
To counter this you can use dispel magic. The downside is it will remove your beneficial magic too.
He will also come back to life if you kill him using the body of one of his acolytes as a vessel. So you need to defeat all the priests BEFORE you attack him directly.
I buffed my team with potions, protection from evil and any other buffs I thought would be beneficial. Interestingly potions of mirrored eyes protects from his death status affect so that’s a must on all party members.
I also used a wand of monster summoning to keep some cannon fodder between my characters and Aec’Letec. It took a few attempts to defeat this guy and keep my party in tact but I got there in the end.
