In this chapter, David and the Falming Fist forces reach their next stop - Troll Claw Woods, from which scouting parties may be sent out to investigate the situation at Boareskyr Bridge. While exploring the woods, David falls upon another good old friend (Jaheira, now separated from Khalid) and has several hostile encounters with all sorts of goblins and trolls. Upon reaching Boareskyr Bridge, where a battle is raging between Caelar's forces and the defenders of Bridgefort, David is refused entry into Caelar's camp, and has to find a way to endear himself to the crusaders.
