Bank Panic (SMS) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthrough of Sega's 1987 arcade port for the Sega Master System, Bank Panic.
I love this game. Last summer a buddy and I went for a drive up to the huge Funspot arcade in New Hampshire, and of all of the classic games they have there, I ended up playing this most of the day. It's pure, old school arcade action, and it translates quite well to the Master System. The whole idea is just to collect money from each door - once you've gotten a bag of money from each, you go to the next round. Of course there are lots of bad guys that shoot at you, or hold people hostage and then shoot at you. It's all very simple, and very addictive. There's a definite rhythm to it, and a definite strategy for going for high scores. I didn't do that in this game - rather, I just wanted to see how far I could go on a single credit. The game doesn't have an ending: it just continues getting faster and faster until you have no chance at winning.
