Batman: Arkham Knight [Gameplay #2] - The Banned Saga [Hard Difficulty]
The by now effectively banned (or at least temporarily withdrawn) PC release of Batman: Arkham Knight has been a PR trainwreck of epic proportions, but I'm perfectly happy with my purchase. Performance-wise the game moves along at more or less the pace I would expect an architecturally dense open world title to run at 1080+ resolutions on max settings, and the visuals of Arkham Knight are very detailed and impressive despite having a somewhat muddy and unfinished quality to them. By comparison, Far Cry 4's unacceptably choppy performance while driving through the bland-looking Kyrati countryside was much more infuriating than anything I've seen in Batman so far.
I was lukewarm going into Rocksteady's latest super hero action adventure, but B:AK has actually surprised me with more satisfying combat, more elaborate mission designs and a sprawling game world oozing much more life and neo-Gothic character than its dull previous incarnations from Arkham City and Arkham Origins.
