Best Skyrim mods load order for mages - Xbox ONE and Series X
57In today's video we are taking a look at the best mods load order for Skyrim mage characters on Xbox ONE, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X! The goals of this mods collection are to improve magic in Skyrim by introducing spells with new purposes and mechanics, improving your character as a mage, fixing some details of vanilla spells and also improving the graphical effects of magic and staffs! All the mods of today's video need to be installed in the same order I'll show them, and they are all linked here in description along with the previous episodes of this show, and more gaming videos! I'm also working on a special load order to improve every single area of Skyrim, that will drop around May 15th!

The first Xbox mod in today's list is Character Creation Overhaul (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4050829). This mod aims to reintroduce the class selection, or custom class creation, featured in The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, and if you want you can also install this mod for an existing character! This is not a magic specific mod, but since it allows for 229,320 unique character combinations I thought it would be a great start to really focus your character into magic as you please the most! If you need to uninstall this mod you need to do it from the given book by choosing the “Destroy” option, but be careful because even its creator does not guarantee for future saves to not have problems after the uninstallation.
Since I have no idea from which Skyrim mod most of the spells I'm about to show are, I'll first tell you the mods that I chose to overhaul the magic in Skyrim, and then show you why I picked them! In the next sections instead, there will be all the mods that make the spells more appealing! Here are the mods of this section and their purpose:
Odin – Skyrim Magic Overhaul (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4202452) fixes many bugs, balance and visual issues of Vanilla Skyrim magic spells, as well as including many new spells itself.
Phenderix Magic Evolved (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/2969104), Apocalypse – Magic of Skyrim (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/2978320), Elemental Staffs (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3244268) along with its patch Elemental Staffs For Apocalypse (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4156770), and Arcanum – A New Age of Magic (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4185727) add a wide variety of lore friendly spells which all have unique features. In regards to Elemental Staffs, that mod along with its patch improves the textures of magic staffs and also includes staffs with spells from the mod “Apocalypse”.
With these mods you can:
- temporarily enchant your heavy hits on the go
- change your own appearance
- distract you targets, or in some cases even kill them
- run very fast
- conjure a wide array of ghosts and creatures
- blind your opponents
- summon a wall
- conjure a set of mage clothes
- calm the situation
- and launch multiple spells in one shot
The next mod is Finally First Person Magic Animation SSE (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4042949). This mod includes a wide variety of animations for the spells you launch in first person, I'll show you some of them right now, the only one that was a little bit janky was the last one, so be sure to check them all out to decide if you like this mod or not!
To improve the graphical effects of Ice, Fire and Electric spells I installed the Skyrim mods:

- Transparent And Refrecting Icicle And Frost Atronach (https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3016824)
which go a long way to make destruction spells look much better, and by the way Transparent And Refrecting Icicle And Frost Atronach also improves Ice textures and some items such as Soul Gems. The effects that impressed me the most were the fire in your view model hand and also the ice effects themselves!
