Today I want to talk about what Halo Infinite truly needs at launch based on the biggest sub-communities within Halo! Just note that for the launch features of today's video I will not include anything that 343 already confirmed absent at Halo Infinite's launch, such as sadly, playable Elites, for which I was very surprised that they let them down for the third time in a row.

Alright, so, the first thing that we are going to talk about is Campaign. It is a no brainer that Campaign will be complete day one, and from what 343 explained it should really be a fantastic experience.
They built Zeta Halo in a way that can be traveled through as you prefer the most, as the levels have an open ended nature that allows you to play the game in your own way.
They described Halo Infinite as a sandbox shooter, which means that weapons, vehicles, grenades, equipment and physics will all come together into a dynamic combination of player choice that will allow us to perform incredible tricks.
All of these things tell me that Halo Infinite is building upon the classic Halo experience while also retaining some newer elements like clamber and sliding, and while some more modern or classic fans like me would have preferred the game to be tailored towards one of the two extremes, I am pretty confident that it will be a very, very fun experience since the release date.
And with all of this being said, I sincerely hope that the Campaign will be long enough to make this long wait worth, and I also hope that it will be capable of somehow carry and justify all the narrative mistakes made in Halo 5 to keep the continuity consistent.

Forge has been a staple of Halo since Halo 3, playing custom games in Halo is one of the most unique and fun experiences you can have in the gaming industry, in fact there is a big community behind Forge and Custom games. My hopes for Forge is that it will launch at least as feature rich as Halo 5's and it would also be ideal for it to allow us to put AI in maps, so that we can create custom Campaign levels, or Firefight maps ourselves! It would also be best for Halo Infinite's forge to launch with a Custom Game Browser but honestly I'm not counting on it to be there day one.

The Halo Big Team Battle Community is very big, as it is one of the most played game types in the franchise, and if I remember well 343 confirmed a few years ago that Halo Infinite will not ditch support for Big Team Battle like Halo 5 did, so I expect dev made maps to be in Halo Infinite at launch. That being said, if the Big Team Battle 2.0 leak is true, I hope with all my heart that such mode will not only incorporate more players in one match than anything we've already seen in Halo, but also super vehicles like Scarabs, Condors and Vultures in the mix.

As this video highlights the bare minimum content needed at launch for Halo Infinite, I'm of course including dev made 4v4 arena maps and game types. Social arena is the core game mode of Halo's multiplayer, and the last thing we want is to wait for months to get base modes like Assault, or King of the Hill like it was for Halo 5. I'm also going to link the fifth important game type to this whole sentence, which is Free for all, a mode that if I'm right, also has a quite strong sub-community within Halo.

It's the perfect time to talk about the Competitive community. With Halo 5 343 tried their best to revive the Halo E-sports scene, and although I'm hoping that it won't be their only focus for Multiplayer, I also hope that they'll do their best to create a tailor made sub-environment for the Competitive community to allow its growth in every way possible. One thing that is very important would be to create a compelling Ranking system – many people refer to Halo 3 as the best one, and if that is really the case I do hope Halo Infinite's is based on that one and also improved.

A rewarding progression system is absolutely mandatory, as, no matter what you favorite game type is, it really affects your whole experience with the game. In my opinion, unlocks in Halo 3, Reach and 4 is where the series did it best. We already know that there will be micro-transactions in Halo Infinite, but it is absolutely important that those micro-transactions are not so intrusive that they force you to spend on them like Halo 5 did. Granted, the lack of real money loot-boxes will likely alleviate the issue, but it does not guarantee for the progression system to be rewarding!
As much as I would also love to get every single game type at launch, everything we already discussed really is the bare minimum to get things kicking from the release date.
