"BETA COSMOS" by BelonziK & Jayuff | Geometry Dash 2.11
1,329It's nice to see Jayuff featured in a level again, and this time it's a collaboration with BelonziK, who actually fits his style incredibly well. I can't think of many other creators who could work as well with Jayuff as him. You'll probably have a hard time figuring out who did what in this. I did at least, and after asking BelonziK about it, I found out that they're mixed around, making the consistency even more impressive, as opposed to doing one half each.
There are some parts here and there that are a bit more boring, such as the 2nd and 3rd at 0:11 and 0:16 respectively. More colors mixed in could have helped here. These happen during a calm part of the song, so it's not like they could have put much more movements or effects. It starts picking up in the next parts, though, as the buildup starts, and the drop doesn't disappoint either. This is thanks to cool background effects that synchronize well to the song. There's still some points where I'd like to see more colors on screen at once, and not pulses changing them all, but the effects make it interesting despite that.
I found this quite enjoyable to play and beat. This is already featured, and it's got a 7 star rating, which is pretty much as expected. I'd like to point out that the drop, starting at 0:54, is the hardest of the level with some fast dual clicks. You might wanna do a quick practice run if you don't wanna end up dying towards the end of the level. Some people want a level's difficulty to be consistent, but I can't say I completely agree. Having the drop be harder, at least just a bit, is a fair move in my opinion, as it is the climax of the level. All in all, this is a very cool collaboration by BelonziK and Jayuff. It could very well have received an Epic rating in my opinion, but it's only really up to RobTop, and who knows why he didn't find this worthy.
