I finished Beyond a Steel Sky yesterday and to my surprise it was actually a really good adventure game tied down by some minor issues. I was surprised, mainstream games media, in particular Gamespot tried to tell me otherwise and it's clear they're out to shit on indie games. To them, an indie studio not offering them piles of advertising money is an ant read to be squished with only big publishers getting a free pass.

I also dive into the game, my thoughts and how I hope it can help gaming moving forward. Feeling far more optimistic about the genre then I was even a couple of weeks ago.
