Beyond Good and Evil (PS5) is Awesome!
13I've never played this game up until just now but I always heard good things about it and when I realized there was a new 4k remastered version coming for the PS5, and that it was dirt cheap to purchase I basically bought it right on the spot. I'm glad I did too as this has become one of my favorite 3rd person action adventure games right up there with Star Fox Adventures on the Nintendo GameCube a game that while not super popular I loved. The combat is a little basic and easy but that's okay. There's still some decent puzzles here and there and secret heart pieces to be found increasing your total health bar just like a Zelda game. In fact this game, again like SFA is basically a Zelda Lite game. That is to say it takes many inspirations from 3D Zelda games but is perhaps a little easier on the combat. There's also a boat allowing you to explore on water (sounds familiar!) and some MGS inspired stealth sections too (though again, easier) all tied together with a Pokemon snap camera system requiring you to take pictures of specific things happening in game and a really neat story.
