If you already watched the fifth season of Big Mouth on Netflix, which came out November 5, you don’t have to wonder about the fate of Big Mouth Season 6, as it had already been decided a long time ago. Back in 2019, Netflix announced a massive 3-season renewal of Big Mouth, confirming Seasons 4, 5 AND 6 for the adult animated series. This does NOT mean, however, that Season 6 will be the final one. When the creative team behind Big Mouth — Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett – signed a multi-year contract with Netflix two years ago, there were talks not only about new animated shows and films for Netflix, but also about taking Big Mouth through Season 6 AND beyond. Hilarious, poignant, well written and well animated, Big Mouth has become Netflix’s flagship adult animated show. It is loved by viewers and critics alike. On IMDb, the show boasts an impressive approval rating of 8 out of 10. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes rated it at 99%!! Big Mouth has banked 7 award wins, including 2 Primetime Emmys and 39 nominations. It features a stellar voice cast of Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, John Mulaney and Jessi Klein. While the first three seasons had open-ended finales, in seasons 4 and 5, the final episodes became solid set ups for new episodes. In Season 6, we expect to see the development of Jay and Matt’s relationship, while Lola will likely be on a revenge mission as she can’t let go of Jay.
