Hey, guys! With a smashing success of the South Korean Netflix Original series Squid Game, expectations for the new Netflix Original also hailing from South Korea were very high. Hellbound Season 2 has not been confirmed yet, but at this point, everything points out that Season 2 is likely to be released in 2022. While Hellbound is not the next Squid Game, it’s definitely a binge-worthy supernatural horror series. From the first scene, it draws you in and keeps you hooked for all six episodes. It’s entertaining, gripping, suspenseful and masterfully done. And we couldn’t expect anything less from Yeon Sang-ho, the critically-acclaimed director behind Train To Busan and its sequel, Peninsula. He both wrote and directed the first season of Hellbound. The series pilot was shown at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival in September and became THE FIRST Korean drama to make it to the festival. Season 1 finale came with a HUGE cliffhanger that sets the stage for exciting Season 2. With the “sinner”, Park Jeong-ja, supposedly returning from Hell, the main questions are: was she really in Hell? And if ‘yes’, will other dead be able to return like this? Are the “angels” really angels? And if ‘not’, does that mean that the victims were actually not sent to Hell, but an entirely different place? Guys, share your theories with us in the comments!
