Bioware and EA have finally decided to pull the plug on Anthem. In a blog posted earlier this week, Bioware officially announced that the project referred to as Anthem Next helmed by thirty people in an attempt to reboot Anthem will be no more. Instead, the company seeks to reallocate its workforce and resources towards other Bioware projects like the next Dragon Age, the newly announced Mass Effect collection, and maintaining their Star Wars MMO.
We recently talked about how CD Projekt Red was hacked and exhorted but now it seems like the security breach is causing issues elsewhere in the company. The previously scheduled 1.2 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 that contains a variety of improvements and fixes for the game will now be delayed. In a tweet, CDPR explained that this was due to a combination of the hack and the scope of the patch.
In other news, a Gamestop executive just resigned and Fry’s Electronics is going out of business shutting down stores across the nation.
