CD Projekt Red is being extorted by hackers for the source code of their games. The company was breached the source code for Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, and Gwent was stolen. The company acknowledged the cyber attack earlier this week and shared the ransom note that the hackers left behind. To make matters worse it appears the hackers have already posted an auction for the source code for Gwent. CDPR has said they do not plan to negotiate with the attackers and it doesn’t like any employee or player data was stolen.

On the subject of more bad news, Ubisoft claimed in an earnings report that they are moving away from AAA games to focus more on mobile titles. It’s not surprising considering there’s so much money to be made in the mobile space but it’s still a little heartbreaking to hear.

Anthem is still in limbo as internal reports suggest EA is taking a look at the game this week to decide if it’s time to staff up for the full reboot or if it’s time to kill the game off for good.

In regards to things facing certain death, the ESA announced that there will be a digital E3 this year featuring two keynote presentations, an awards show, and live streams. Lastly, an unresolved support issue has caused the developers of Terraria to cancel their plans to bring the game to Stadia.
